Matthew 9
35Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
How many people do you see each and every day? I am sure it is quite a few. Even if you just leave the house to go get gas at the service station you are seeing at least three other people.
So if you consider yourself a christian, there is a good possibility that those other 3 people are not. That is right, only 25-33% of the earth population is christian. That is why the harvest is plentiful.
Now, how many of you even say a word to those other people that you meet? Shall we all be honest, even myself. We don't say a thing. We are Christians, but are we workers? I am sorry to say, but most of us are not workers. We sit idly by and hope that someone will say something. Our pastor will say something, that is their job? Right..?
Wrong. I would say that it is our pastor's job to develop us as workers. So that we can bring in the harvest. Are you ready for that?
